Main asset

Abundant panicles of single medium pure white flowers, vigorous growth.

Very hardy plant, adapted for all locations.

Syringa x hyacinthiflora (Hyacinth flowering Lilac) are hybrids made at the end of the nineteenth century, between Syringa vulgaris (Common Lilac, from the Balkans and introduced in Europe in the sixteenth century) and oblata Syringa (Korean early Lilac). This species gave them lower cold requirements for varnalization, hence a high degree of precocity (8-10 days before common Lilac), an adaptation in all climates, while maintaining very interesting ornamental features (abundant very fragrant panicles, resistance to limestone or clay soils, drought, hardiness).
