Main asset

Beautiful spring colors, followed by a light yellow foliage contrasting with the dark pink flowering.

Remarks

Variety obtained in England in 1960, from Spiraea albiflora x japonica. The colors hold better in half-shaded exposure, but it tolerates full sun.

Deciduous compact shrub of adult size 1 m high and span. The young shoots are orange, the foliage becomes light yellow in summer and then coppery orange in autumn. The corymbs of single flowers, dark pink, appear in July-August.
