Main asset

Plant very strong, with magnificent blue aerial clusters, very melliferous. Highly resistant to drought and difficult soil conditions (pebbles, rubble)

Remarks

Prune the plant very shortly at the end of winter to favor vigorous and flowering young shoots.

Deciduous shrub native to Afghanistan and introduced in Europe in the early XXth century. 'Blue Spire' is an old horticultural variety with bushy habit, white twigs, gray green foliage more cut than the type, and blooming in large lavender blue panicles, in August-September
