Remarks

Plant for acid soil, aerated, remaining wet in summer, and exposure not too sunny or hot.

Small evergreen shrub of heather earth, rounded, orange-red obovate leaves becoming shiny dark green. The flowering takes place in early spring, in the form of hanging clusters of small bells, melliferous. 'Variegata' has young pinkish leaves, becoming light green margined with white. Its bloom is white.
