Remarks

Photinia are evergreen shrubs of East Asian origin. The fraseri hybrids were initially selected by Fraser nurseries (Alabama, 1955) and are a spontaneous cross of glabra (Japan) x serrulata (syn serratifolia, China). 'Red Robin' is the first colorful selection in these hybrids, made in New Zealand in the 70's. 'Clone Pistoia' is a Tuscan selection.

'Clone Pistoia' is a selection from Tuscany. The variety is characterized by its highly erected, vigorous and strong growth, and its young bright red shoots and leaves. Under favorable conditions, 3 flushes of growth are observed per year.
