Main asset

This shrub tolerates all conditions of soil and exposure. Christmas symbol, female plants are harvested to make crowns. It is also widely used in hiding and defensive hedges, in North or continental climates.

Remarks

The plant tolerates regular pruning (at least once a year) and can form compact hedges in difficult conditions (tolerates pollution or spray).

Indigenous shrub or small undergrowth tree, interesting for its hardiness, the Holly is a solid plant, with varnished leaves dark green, evergreen, thorny. Dioic plant, the red fruits appear only on female plants, if the flowers were fertilized by a male.
