Main asset

Small leaves, slowly growing plant, and good resistance to soil and climate conditions, make it a good border plant, easier to grow than Ilex crenata or especially the Boxwood, currently subject to several important phytosanitary problems.

Remarks

2 prunings per year are enough to have a clean border.

Small dense and compact shrub, with beautiful evergreen dark green foliage. It is well suited to garden borders or as ground cover, and is considered an interesting alternative to Boxwood.
