Main asset

Aesthetic plant all year, especially in winter when flowering takes place while the rest of the garden is still asleep. Also suitable for containers or large planters, in a situation not too hot in summer.

Remarks

Acidophilus plant, requiring a remaining cool in summer soil. Avoid too hot or dry situations.

Loropetalum are small shrubs still not very common, with small elliptic evergreen leaves, spreading soft habit, and an original Hamamelis-shaped bloom in late winter and spring. 'Pipa's Red' is a spreading variety with young purple shoots turning dark green, and dark pink blooming.
