Main asset

Ginkgo biloba is the only species still alive today of the genus Ginkgo, widespread in the Permian era (-270 million years). It was saved from extinction thanks to its protection around Buddhist temples in East China.
Very strong species (having survived to the atomic bomb in Hiroshima !), well suited for urban planting, resistant to pollution, diseases and pests. Naturally columnar shape, very graphic. Beautiful gold autumn foliage.

Remarks

Male clone (no smelly fruit!). Photos Van Vliet New Plants
