Main asset

A dark purple foliage in contrast with white flowers and red fruits.

Remarks

This variety is a German selection of Hans Schadendorf and Günther Kordes launched in 1995, among 120 000 seedlings.

Large, very hardy shrub, perfect in background to highlight pastel-colored perennials of low-hanging shrubs. In late spring, the white blooming white melliferous contrast with the purple foliage, then the pink then red fruits appear, appreciated by birds. In autumn, the foliage turns orange red. The old bark is exfoliated and reveals shades of red and brown.
