Main asset

Very strong plant, resistant to drought, aromatic, and supporting well pruning. Good alternative to Boxwood in Mediterranean or coastal zone.

Remarks

Performs well in pot, and is better resistant to cold periods on poor and draining substrate.

This subspecies of the common Myrtle, known as Tarentum Myrtle, is denser and more compact than the type. The evergreen foliage is aromatic, the scented white summer blossoming is followed by bluish berries in autumn.
