Undoubtedly one of the best trees for shade thanks to its spreadind habit, its great tolerance to pruning and difficult conditions. The foliage, dense and very occulting, falls very late in autumn, sometimes after Christmas.
Remarks
Prune short in March leaving the horizontal branches and cutting everything up, so as to quickly get the very spreading habit characteristic of the tree, which can cover a diameter of 10 meters easily.
The mulberry tree is a vigorous little shade tree, well adapted to urban conditions (pavement, arid situation, carparks) and to hot summers. The variety 'Fruitless' has the advantage of being virtually sterile, so no fruit that stain. Its shape is slightly less horizontal than the type, which is easily corrected by the annual pruning.
