Very dense tree with bluish dark foliage, very fast growth (the fastest of all Pines).

Remarks

Originally from the west coast of the United States, the Monterey Pine requires mild winters and fairly high summer humidity. It is thus rather adapted to the Atlantic littoral zones, where its growth can be very fast.

Large evergreen conifer cone-shaped broadening with age, with tracing roots. Its needles are fasciculate by 3, 10-15 cm, dark bluish green. The bark is gray-green, cracked.
