Main asset

Un petit conifère très rustique, solide, vert toute l'année, parfait en rocaille ou en conteneur. Plante bonsaifiable.

Remarks

The plant does not require maintenance and keeps its round shape alone. It can be pruned in cloud or bonsai, in this case shorten the young shoots ("candles") before the needles grow in the spring.

The Dwarf Mountain Pine is a subalpine species native to southern Europe (Pyrenees, Alps, Balkans), heliophilous, very resistant to cold and drought. 'Pumilio' is a very compact slow-growing, small cushion-shaped variety with short dark-green 2-fascicles needles.
