Main asset

Ginkgo biloba is the only species still alive today of the genus Ginkgo, widespread in the Permian era (-270 million years). It was saved from extinction thanks to its protection around Buddhist temples in East China.
Very strong species (having survived to the atomic bomb in Hiroshima !), well suited for urban planting, resistant to pollution, diseases and pests. Natural space-saving shape. Beautiful gold autumn foliage.

Remarks

Male clone (no smelly ovules !) grafted on Ginkgo from seedling, sold 1 year after grafting.

Male selection of Ginkgo biloba, propagated by grafting on plants from seedlings. Its shape is more erect than the type, with branches sloping upwards and a strong apical dominance. As a result, this variety is well suited to urban alignment plantations.
