The most popular compact cherry laurel with reddish young shoots


Its medium growth is an advantage for a hedge requiring few maintenance.

Evergreen shrub with large glossy lanceolate leaves, medium green. Its shape is erected, compact, with larger leaves than the type. Young shoots are copper, followed in April-May by clusters of white flowers, fruiting in small purple cherries in late summer.

One of the most used hedge species in Northern Europe.
